Our power plants are designed for small and medium applications from 1 to 20 megawatts (MW) in sun-belt regions. Unlike photovoltaic systems, our plants supply energy also at night as they are able to store the heat. Moreover, their yield is 30% higher as their mirror modules follow the sun fully automatically during the day.
Going forward, a 5 MW plant with storage will be able to supply about 13 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year - which is equivalent to the consumption of about 4,000 households or one industrial estate or a paper mill, for instance. This allows some 10,000 tons of carbon emissions to be saved per year, which would otherwise be produced by conventional power plants. Specifically designed for the desert climate, the components have an expected service life of at least 25 years.
